A Note from Our Kitchen to Yours ♥️
The Story Behind Homebound
Homebound didn’t start with a big business plan. It began quietly during my maternity break, holding my baby and taking a hard look at the processed food in our pantry.
Growing up, I watched my grandfather make jaggery the real, unhurried way. But over the years, that craft started fading—undercut by shortcuts, chemical bleaching, and cheap white sugar. When I shared a small batch of our farm's authentic, unrefined jaggery with friends, the response was unanimous: "This tastes like home."
We all know excess sugar is today’s biggest health hazard. My goal isn't to push more sweetness into your diet just because it’s traditional. But when we do indulge, even that single spoonful should be the cleanest, most nourishing version possible—unadulterated, nutrient-rich, and genuinely good.
Homebound is my honest attempt to bridge ancestral wisdom with modern needs. It starts with a few pure staples straight from our home, but the journey won’t stop here. I’m on a mission to revive more forgotten, heritage foods so our families can eat with trust again.
A Promise from Homebound
We may grow slowly, but we want to grow with purpose.
Every product we bring to you should have a story.
Every ingredient should have a reason.
Every process should have integrity.
Because food is more than something we eat.
It is memory.
It is culture.
It is nourishment.
It is home.
And that is what we hope Homebound feels like—a little piece of home, wherever you are.
With LoveÂ
