In the heart of Kavindapadi, Erode, some food traditions are not simply recipes—they are a way of life.
Our Panjamutti is one such tradition.
Inspired by the way our elders prepared nourishing foods at home, Panjamutti brings together the goodness of five carefully selected grains and lentils, prepared with patience and care to preserve their natural flavour and character.
The Strength of Five
The secret of Panjamutti lies in its simplicity.
Each of the five grains and lentils is roasted separately.
Why separately?
Because every grain and lentil has its own texture, aroma, and roasting point. By giving each ingredient the time it deserves, we allow its natural flavour to develop fully before bringing them together.
There are no shortcuts.
Once roasted, the ingredients are cooled and ground into a fine flour using our own milling machine in Kavindapadi.
Nothing outsourced. Nothing rushed.
From roasting to milling, we keep the process close to home so that we can have greater care and control over what goes into every batch.
Made the Way Our Elders Did
Our grandparents understood something that modern food often forgets: good food takes time.
They roasted grains patiently.
They prepared ingredients in small batches.
They relied on experience rather than complicated processing.
And they made food with the people they were feeding in mind.
Panjamutti carries that spirit forward.
It is a traditional South Indian food inspired by time-honoured preparation methods, bringing together carefully selected natural ingredients into a wholesome and flavorful blend.
From Kavindapadi to Your Kitchen
Every batch of Panjamutti begins with a connection to our home in Kavindapadi, Erode.
The ingredients are carefully selected, roasted individually, and milled in-house. Keeping the process under our own roof allows us to stay true to the method that inspired the product in the first place.
For us, making Panjamutti is not about producing something quickly.
It is about making it properly.
A Taste of Tradition
Panjamutti has a distinctive roasted aroma and an authentic, homemade-style taste that takes you back to simpler kitchens.
It can be enjoyed as a wholesome traditional snack or incorporated into everyday food preparations, making it a versatile addition to the modern kitchen.
Most importantly, it gives you an opportunity to experience the kind of food preparation that once happened naturally in homes across generations.
Nothing Outsourced. Nothing Rushed.
In a world where convenience often comes first, we choose to slow down.
We roast each grain and lentil separately.
We mill them ourselves.
We keep the process close.
And we make every batch with the same patience and care that inspired Panjamutti in the first place.
Because we believe traditional food deserves more than just traditional ingredients.
It deserves the traditional way of making it too.
